VINEYARDS AND CELLARS

Quality begins in our vineyards

From the beginning, we have been dedicated in our search for the best valleys in Chile, in order to find the right conditions for each grape variety. Emiliana has more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards managed organically and biodynamically.

Limarí Valley

An oasis in the desert

The Limarí Valley is known as the green north of Chile, as you can find half of the irrigated zones of the region there. The closeness of the Pacific Ocean allows the influence of the Humboldt Current to bring cooler temperatures during summer and a good diurnal temperature range. The presence of the coastal camanchaca fogs in the mornings, and the breezes in the afternoons, are another significant climactic influence. These help keep the temperatures below 30ºC and allow the perfect ripening for varieties like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir.

CASABLANCA VALLEY

The kingdom of white wines

It’s the most important valley for the development of white varieties. The composition of its land and the influence of the ocean breezes that subtly arrive from the Pacific coast, generating a slow ripening of the grapes, which in turn means aromatic wines with delicate flavors. Here we develop our Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Viognier, Marsanne, Pinot Noir, and Syrah.

COLCHAGUA VALLEY

Carmenere par excellence

Part of the Rapel Valley, thanks to a singular mix of ocean breezes and winds from the Andes Mountains, Colchagua is the perfect place to cultivate red varieties like Syrah, Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Here, the four seasons of the year are accentuated, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly and slowly. Our Las Palmeras and Los Robles cellars are located here, built with the highest levels of infrastructure, minimizing their environmental impact.

CACHAPOAL VALLEY

Home of great Syrah

It’s a paradise for red grapes, thanks to its temperate Mediterranean climate. For us, the Totihue estate delivers an excellent Syrah, a wine with great concentration, smooth texture, and great levels of fruit, thanks to the unique conditions, including an absence of spring frosts and its proximity to the Andes Mountains.

MAIPO VALLEY

A paradise for Cabernet Sauvignon

Its geographical location allows for the production of wines with different levels of fruit, aroma, and flavor. It’s known principally for being the origin of the best Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile. This zone was a pioneer in the development of winemaking in the country, and its land has seen the growth and development of a wide variety of grapes. At our Los Morros estate we produce our highest-quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Our Maipo cellar is located in this valley, and is where we produce our white wines from our Adobe and Novas lines.

BÍO-BÍO VALLEY

The southern tip of the country

Its low temperatures, high levels of precipitation, and occurrences of frost, are a challenge for our winemakers who, considering the attributes of the land, manage to cultivate grape varieties that need lower temperatures in order to develop better. On our Mulchén estate we grow a unique and authentic Sauvignon Blanc, as well as other varieties such as Pinot Noir and Riesling.
