TIM ATKIN HIGHLIGHTS EMILIANA’S ORGANIC WINES

The prestigious British wine critic Tim Atkin has positively rated Emiliana's wines, the world's largest organic winery, by fourth consecutive year. Emphasizing the high level and quality of its organic and biodynamic wines, in its most recent report to be published on March 2020.

On this occasion, the Master of Wine awarded with 94 points to the biodynamic icon Gê (2016) and 94 points to VIGNO (2017).

Atkin visited Los Robles state on December 2019 and he was welcomed by the winemaker Noelia Orts, who highlighted the scores achieved by the winery’s wines. “Once again Emiliana shows consistency on the quality of the wines we produce. This leaves us very satisfied, because it ratifies the great dedication and work we do every day in the vineyard and in the cellar,” it was said.

Coyam 2017, an organic blend was recognized with 93 points; Signos de Origen Carmenere 2017 also with 93 points; Signos de Origen Syrah 2017 with 92 points and Novas Carmenere 2018 with 91 points.

“The scores show that Carmenère is also one of Emiliana’s specialties, because besides Signos de Origen and Novas Carmenere evaluation, Coyam and Gê have a large percentage of this variety, so we can say that Emiliana has a very fine handling of this grape,” Orts concludes.

Tim Atkin has 33 years of experience in the wine industry. Nowadays he writes for Harpers, Decanter, Gourmet and Traveler Wine magazines. According to Orts, Atkin has a deep knowledge about wines from all over the world, “thus confirming to winemakers, that our work is not only about volume but also about the production of organic premium wines that stand out”.
