Emiliana obtains a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge 2019
In this way, Coyam 2013, from Valle Rapel, obtained a Gold Medal, the highest award granted by the IWC, while Signs of Origin Garnacha / Mourvedre / Syrah 2014 obtained a Silver Medal.
Coyam 2013 stood out for its “polished style with rich black fruits, milk chocolate, and sandalwood. This wine has style and substance ”. Meanwhile, Signs of Origin was distinguished for its “touch of balsamic complexity.”
The International Wine Challenge, which turns 34 years old in the 2017 edition, is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world wine industry and employs expert judges from around the world (Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, importers, distributors , winemakers, prescribers, critics and specialized journalists). This ensures that only the most experienced and respected palates rate wines during the IWC.
The competition is held annually and is divided into two phases (Section 1 in November and Section 2 in April, to meet the needs of both hemispheres). Here all wines are evaluated by blind tastings.
The prizes awarded are the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Trophy medals, praise for the best categories in the competition. The IWC’s fundamental commitment is to help consumers discover great wines, and the medals offer a guarantee and confidence of quality.
